In all the travel we have done around the world, nowhere have we been more impressed with the toilets (cleanliness and design) and the technology than in Seoul (I’m writing this before we go to Tokyo, so who knows my feelings might have changed but for now I am blown away by the technology & cleanliness in Seoul).

Everything is electronic, from customs forms upon arrival to the airport, to robots at museums, airports and lounges to direct you, give you a tour or clean up your food trays.

The city is extremely safe, which probably is in part due to all the CCTV cameras stationed everywhere you look. The country has the most public restrooms per capita and every one we visited was clean, free and had toilet paper ! And if you know me and O, we visit MANY bathrooms on vacations. Many toilets (even those in public places) have heated seats, automatic flushing bidets for both front and back cleaning (ha!) and privacy music so those on the other side of the stall only hear flushing sounds.
